e-Type levels 1 & 2
Good, fast and accurate keyboard skills are essential in today’s world. Around 95% of business documents are now electronic and more communication now takes place via email than via phone.
e-Type is a fun and flexible way to learn how to touch type. It is taught through structured e-lessons that follow a simple and logical sequence. The e-type course materials can be accessed from any computer with internet access at work or home. Throughout the course you will be assigned a personal tutor who will be on hand, via email or phone, for advice and guidance through the course.

When you are exam ready your tutor will invite you into college for the 5 min final assessment to gain the e-type qualification.

There are three different accredited qualifications:

• Bronze Award: Typing Speed 20 words per minute (WPM) and 98% accuracy (level 1)
• Silver Award: Typing Speed 40 words per minute (WPM) and 98% accuracy (level 2)
• Gold Award: Typing Speed 60 words per minute (WPM) and 98% accuracy (level 2)

This course is ideal for anyone working with computers and a great way of fulfilling Continuous professional development (CPD).

Entry Requirements:
No formal entry qualifications are required; learners must have access to computer with internet access and be able to attend an exam session at the Main Campus when you are Exam ready.
