| Health Creation Bradford Project |
The Health Creation Bradford is a project funded by NHS Bradford and Airedale to help meet the health and well being needs of African, Central and Eastern European Communities, asylum seekers and refugees, through a variety of activities and events provided by partners as follows:
- English Language courses – through AIM Language Classes.
- Arts and crafts workshop programmes – with Bradford Community Arts Ltd.
- Radio training and broadcasts – with BCB Radio 106.6 fm.
- Health Trainer Service - provided by the NHS, and run at Forster Community College, is open for all learners to access.
- Conferences, seminars and workshops provided by Sharing Voices and Centre for Conflict Resolution .
- Translation and interpretation service provided by Bradford Talking Media.
- Aerobics and dance classes – provided jointly by project partners.
- Food Safety Classes – provided by Forster Community College.
- Walking groups – provided jointly by partners, including guided walks around urban green sites managed by our Conservation Management Centre.
- Cultural and social events - provided by partners (e.g. a Christmas event for the European Forum).
- In June 2010 we organized a conference on “Ethnicity, Health and Well Being”, which attracted over 100 people, who heard from 10 different groups about their experiences of the health service. They were also entertained with music from The Punjab, The Czech Republic and Zimbabwe and enjoyed food from South Asia, Eastern Europe and Iran.
- Health seminars and health promotion events.
- And more!! – The project has supported the EuroRytm Radio Project in Girlington, research conducted by the Northern Refugee Centre and the football tournament for refugee week.

- an asylum seeker or a refugee
you can access and take part in all these activities.
